1940's/1950's Jewelled Gilt Metal Glove Clip in Original Box (SOLD)

Here we have a nifty and useful Glove Holder set with a large green glass jewel on one side and a large aquamarine blue glass jewel on the other.  The glove clip is gold plated metal with a textured finish to the surface and with a gilt ball chain attached.  This is an interesting item for anyone collecting Vintage fashion,clothes and accessories. The idea was to fasten the chain around the handle of your handbag and use the grip clip to hold on to your gloves.  This fashion accessory dates from the late 1940's to early 1950's when it would have been just the thing for a sophisticated lady about town! This vintage glove clip measures a little over 2 inches by half an inch approx  and it is in excellent condition.  The glove clip is presented in its original packaging- a gold coloured box which slides open just like a matchbox. The box is marked with the words 'OPERA Glove Holder' 'No.540' and 'Made in England'.
