1940's Green Glass Floral Bracelet(Sold)
A wonderful and unique vintage bracelet from the 1940s made of individual pressed and frosted glass beads and cold enamel metal pieces. The theme of this piece is floral with six frosted glass petals in a soft opaque green making up each of the seven flowers on this piece of vintage jewellery. Each flower has a couple of mint green glass leaves either side of it and a mint glass bead as its centre holding the cold enamel metal stamens in place. The whole vintage bracelet has been hand stitched on a cord in a niaive manner. There are a couple of pressed gilt filigree decorations and the bracelet fastens with a gilt bolt ring. It is in very good order with all the glass pieces in perfect condition, the cord is faded and a little discoloured but you would expect this on a textile from the 1940's and it in no way detracts from the appeal of this vintage bracelet. It is reminiscent of a Midsummer's Night's Dream and would be a delightful piece of jewellery for a midsummer's wedding too! The bracelet measures approximately seven inches in length and about three quarters on an inch in width.
