1940s - 1950s Musical Cherubs signed Miracle Brooch and Earclips Set

Here we have a vintage signed Miracle set which is exceptionally special. This delightful Cherubs matching jewellery set consists of a Brooch Pin with clip on Earrings.  It is an early, collectible Demi-Parure dating to the late 1940s - early 1950s. A set from the English makers A.J. Hill of Solihull, Birmingham produced for their famous “Miracle” brand. It has endearing musical Cherubs or Putti amongst flowers in Italianate style with a musical theme. The Brooch has the Cherub band - a Conductor, Horn Player and to complete the trio a Putti playing a Lyre whilst the matching Ear Clips show a single winged Cherub playing the Pipes of Pan. Our little musicians are depicted amongst flowers and foliage and you can just pick out a pair of mythical heraldic creatures (possibly dogs or otters?)to the top.  The oval Brooch is a decent size being 6cms by 4cms (a pound coin is in photos to help you gauge the size) with the earrings being 2cms wide with a total drop of 4cms to include the faceted crystal bead dangles. The jewellery is base metal finished with a darkened Pewter effect pierced work with a good 3-D relief. To the reverse of the Brooch is a pin with a guarded “c” type clasp and a small plaque with the design mark “A Miracle Creation”. The Earrings, which are each enhanced with three  faceted clear glass crystal beads with decorative metal caps, have a very comfy spring clip fitting. They too are marked “Miracle” but it is a little harder to see these marks. Offered in very good vintage condition this set would add a touch of whimsy and style to your vintage jewellery collection.
