1940s - 1950's Cherub Brooch with Dangling Charms signed 'Miracle'
What an interesting brooch by 'Miracle' this one is! It is in a romantic Victorian style but I would estimate it dates from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The brooch depicts a winged Cherub or Putti playing a musical instrument. The little Cherub is surrounded by columns and a pierced, entwined floral and leafy background which is further enhanced by five little dangling charms! The brooch has an antiqued silver finish, probably plated. It measures approx 6cms by 4cms and is fastened by a secure roll over type clasp. It has the words 'Miracle Creation' on the reverse. It is so different to other Miracle pieces that I have seen, they usually have a strong Celtic theme and are often gem set. This lovely pin is in very good condition is very wearable and, with its romantic design, would make a great gift for a loved one or an unusual addition to a Miracle collection.
