1930s Dress Clips - Pair of Dainty Small Green Jewelled Bohemian Filigree Dress Clips

A pair of 1930s dress clips of small size with an open jewel-set floral design is on offer here.  Made in old Bohemia, these clips have been pressed from sheet metal, most likely Tombec.  There is still silvering to the fronts but the darker more brassy coloured metal is evident to the reverse of the clips.  This kind of patina is what you would expect on Bohemian pressed filigree costume jewellery of this period and it adds a lovely antique appeal to the items. Hand set onto the filigree are vibrant green flat back glass paste jewels.  There are four jewels to each clip, The design consists of a triangle with a central daisy-like flower with a green jewel centre and three further green jewels on the decorative filigree corners. The quality and condition of this pair of dress clips is very good. Measuring just over 2cms of each of their sides these sweet floral triangles would add a touch of sparkle to  sweetheart necklines on a vintage frock or to collars, hats, lapels and hair bands. The clips to the reverse are good and tight and three small sharp claws will ensure that the jewelled clips stay in place on your outfit.
