1920's/1930's Art Deco Faux Tortoiseshell Hairslide set with Diamante(Sorry this item has been sold)

This is a beautiful hairslide made of celluloid to imitate natural tortoiseshell.  It has the popular Art Deco 'sunburst' design  in a cut-out effect.  To make sure it was just the thing for smart evening and party ware, it was enhanced with more than 70 tiny, sparkling diamante, each set into this early plastic accessory.   The hair ornament was most likely made in France around the late 1920's to the 1930's.  It is fastened with a brass metal clip and ball. It is a decent size for a hair slide from this era being 8cms in length and 4.5 cms wide approx.
