1920's - 1930's Cream Sash Purse (sold)

Here we have a little cream evening purse from the Art Deco era.  It is in excellent condition throughout.  It is lined in satin type fabric, with a mirror pocket complete with its original covered mirror. It has a little label 'Hand Made in Belgium' .  Many of the gorgeous hand beaded evening puses from the Art Deco era were made in continental Europe, most usually France and Belgium.  The beads on this one include some bronze colour faux pearls, used like little flowers, and masses of cream glass seed beads making a panel at the front and with a more swirly random design all over.  The reverse of the purse has a swirly design all over.  It also has a little beaded handle, suitable to place your hand through or thread through a sash.  The purse closes with a flap-over lid and a press stud fastener. The colour and condition of this little beadwork purse would make it ideal as 'something old' for a bride!
